Hello, dear readers. May you have ever asked yourself why science is so awesome. Well, there’s a woman who has managed to get children to enjoy it. She takes advantage of her cartoons to educate children on science in the most entertaining way possible. It is a cartoon, and her drawings will make everyone laugh while teaching about incredible facts about the world. Here is her story, and how she learned how to blend science with comedy so well.
Laughs with Elderly Women
This happy woman wasn’t always a cartoonist, in fact she was once a banker. She began her career teaching science in a high school. From young, she enjoyed science activities and spent most of her time reading books on space, animals and plants. Then she attended college to do biology and chemistry. She became a teacher as soon as she completed her education, and this was because she loved teaching science. She really loved the idea of showing the children how exciting science could be.
One day while preparing for her lesson she wrote a funny cartoon about the water cycle on the board. The students loved it. They laughed and said, of course, because her funny drawings helped them to remember all the information much better. That is when she came up with an idea that cartoons are a great way to learn science. She drew funny characters as Dr. Atom explaining molecules, and Sally the Sunbeam who taught about the solar system. Her students always waited for her lecture eagerly.
